Two TBL Engineers Named vExperts 2011

TBL Networks is very proud to announce that two of our Data Center Engineers, Sean Crookston and Harley Stagner, have been named as vExperts 2011 by VMware. Sean and Harley received this designation as recognition of their contributions to the VMware, virtualization, and cloud computing communities.

According to VMware, “the vExperts are people who have gone above and beyond their day jobs in their contributions to the virtualization and VMware user community. vExperts are the bloggers, the book authors, the VMUG leaders, the tool builders and town criers, the tinkerers and speakers and thinkers who are moving us all forward as an IT industry.”

TBL Networks’ Solutions Engineer Sean Crookston also has the title of VMware Certified Advanced Professional in Data Center Administration (VCAP-DCA). Sean is only the 47thperson worldwide to achieve this elite virtualization certification.

TBL Networks’ Account Engineer Harley Stagner is the first VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) in Virginia, and just the 46th person worldwide to hold this title.  The VCDX is the highest certification available from VMware.

Congratulations again to Sean Crookston and Harley Stagner – vExperts 2011.

Ask Harley: Guitar Hero Edition

Harley Stagner knows virtualization.  He’s the first person in the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive the title of VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), and just the 46th person worldwide to earn this elite certification. From ESXi to VDI, public cloud to private cloud, virtual machines to virtual networks, Harley Stagner is the man when it comes to virtualization and VMware.

But what about Harley’s other talents?  Just because he is TBL Networks’ resident expert on VMware, it doesn’t mean that Harley’s skills end at the network server.

On May 5th, we plan to show one more of the many sides of Mr. Stagner with “Ask Harley: Guitar Hero Edition.”

On Thursday, May 5th, starting at 7PM , Harley will answer your questions about virtualization live on Twitter.   Following this presentation, Harley and his band, the 46ers, will play the song of your choice from Guitar Hero: World Tour – LIVE ON THE INTERNET.

Harley Stagner Achieves VCDX

VMware Recognizes Harley Stagner as a Virtualization Expert with VCDX #46

TBL’s own Harley Stagner has become the first VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) in Virginia and only the 46th to achieve this elite virtualization certification worldwide. The VCDX is the highest level of VMware certification. After being invited through a pre-qualification process from eligible VMware Certified Professional (VCP) individuals, Harley had to pass two written examinations to make it to the final stage of the process. Harley traveled to VMware’s headquarters in Palo Alto, CA to defend his virtualization design and implementation plan to a panel of VMware experts on August 26th. Today, Harley was notified of his successful completion of the defense, and awarded VCDX #46. All of us here at TBL are so very proud of Harley’s accomplishment. His new designation is a testament to the talent that Harley lends to the TBL team.

Congratulations to Harley Stagner, VCDX #46.
